Quinoa - how do I cook it?

Friend made some while on hols in France and was delicious.
Bought some from health food shop today and there were no instructions on packet.

Can anyone help please?

Rinse it and place in a pot and add about twice as much cold water. Bring it to the boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. As far as I can remember.

Rinse it a lot. You're rinsing off a bitter coating, it's not like rice or lentils where a tiny rinse will sort it.

I tend to roast it before boiling it, so I do rinse, then put in pan with no water, stir and let it brown a tiny bit, then add 2x water, and cook until the water's gone.

I used to cook it in much the same way as cous cous or bulghur wheat...not that I ate it myself, just gave it to DS2 when weaning...evil mummy

Love the crunchy texture of it ... and you can only have so much of pizza (which I have had 3 nights in a row this week)
