Pongy chicken dilemma

Asda delivered my chicken breast fillets on 2nd sept. 2 packs.

On closer inspection, at one pack, the date for use by was the 3rd sept, so I bunged them both in the freezer (I didn't check the other pack)

I've just defrosted them and the second pack is use by 1st Sept! So was out of date when they bloody delivered it.

But now I've put the chicken in the pot and have no idea which brest was which. One of them smelt a little 'high' shall we say.

Will I kill anyone?

personally i would not mess about with chicken cos it just terrifies me. i once cooked with a piece of chicken which was in date and we were all so ill. it was a few years ago and it was tesco chicken. after watching some of these undercover programmes I now think it had got warm waiting to be put in the refridgerator. it was chopped into chunks and cooked in a sauce for more than long enoug and we still were poorly.

Chuck it out and get dh to bring in a takeaway.

Keep the wrappers with the dates on and contact Asda. They should refund you if they value your custom.
