Apple Flapjack / oaty apple bar recipes wanted

Hi there

Anyone got a special apple flapjack recipe?

I have made ones where I just use a regular batch of flapjack mix but layer some grated/cubed apple in the middle.

Just wondered if anyone had an oaty apple bar type recipe that is a bit different.

Thank you

I haven't, sorry, but will watch this thread as I'm sick of making crumble and have some lovely cooking apples to use up

Just to update you. Made my apple flapjacks yesterday and they are scrumptiously yummy

What recipe did you use?

The one on the recipe page is too similar to the ones I have made before - wanted something a bit different.

Have looked at SO many recipes and ended up making my own up.

They are delicious.

Basically they are softer than a flapjack and full of seeds, less sugar as used some honey too.

I have named them Plum & apple oaty breakfast bars!

Was so impressed with them, even if I do say so myself

Hang on, jotted it down as I went along but managed to spill goodness knows what on the piece of paper

it has oats, plain flour, butter, honey, brown sugar, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, plums and apples

I will be back once I work out what quantities I used.....

I just used a basic flapjack recipe but added grated apple instead of dates. They are lovely and moist.

I posted a link on my thread earlier this week. Search the recipes for apples. It's really good.

Make sure you squeeze the apples when you grate them
