I’d really like to eat more seaweed as I’ve read there is an association with strengthened immune system (Wakame) and decreased breast cancer risk (nori). (Being a middle aged woman with lung problems both these health benefits seem very desirable right now!)
Being new to this though I’m wondering how to go about it. Are sheets best, or flakes? Green, or toasted? Seaweed salad? (And if so what do you dress it with?)
Any particular brand? (I’ve found Clearspring miso is great: are they good for seaweed too?)
How do Japanese people traditionally tend to get seaweed in the diet? Are there any pointers, tips?
