Frozen beef and slow cooker advice

Hello!
I was planning to make beef stroganoff in the slow cooker tomorrow (I'm a slow cooker beginner!). I only remembered to take the diced beef out of the freezer now and not sure it will be defrosted fully by mid morning which is when I would have started cooking it. Can it go in if it isn't fully defrosted?

Thanks for the advice! If you have tried and tested stroganoff recipes I'll take them too :)

Are you defrosting in the fridge? I would probably keep it frozen then take it out as late as possible and leave to defrost on work top.

No stroganoff recipe I'm afraid but might take a note of any that come along 😆

It will be fine.

Chuck it in, it will be fine. Just extend cooking times if necessary, or cook the meat on high for an hour to defrost, then add the rest of the ingredients
