Help needed with Lamb marinade

Having a bbq tomorrow and have got a lovely bit of lamb which the butcher has butterflied for me. Found a nice recipe for a marinade but it doesn't give exact quantities. It just says 'We whizzed up a marinade of red wine, garlic, anchovy fillets, capers and olive oil. If you have the time, let the marinade steep into the meat overnight but if not, a few hours will do'. I am useless unless I have exact quantities. Can any one help? Do you think it means stick it all in a blender. A whole tin of anchovies, whole jar of capers.... argh, I am a reasonable cook but need to be babied through everything. Where is Delia when I need her?

Dh is usually good at this kinda stuff, he'll be here in a minute, but inthe meantime, this is a lovely marinade for butterflied lamb that we usually use!

1/3 cup chopped corriander
1/4 cup chopped mint
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic
2 teaspoon ground corriander
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon runny honey

Tis lovely! DH is here now and he suggests:

1 glass red wine
2-3 garlic cloves
4 or 5 anchovy fillets
dessert spoon capers
1 -2 tablespoons of oil.

This is what he would do anyway, good luck!

Do you know I have never heard of lamb being cooked with anchovies. I did a quick google and found numerous recipes!

Well done Maureen's dh!

Fantastic, thanks MMLove and her DH. Could do either as I have the other ingredients as well, but I love anchovies so might stick with that one and use the other one another time. Do lamb loads on the bbq as its so lovely and easy but fancied something different this time. Lets hope there isn't a thread tomorrow evening 'My friend tried to poison me with a vile lamb dish' as one of the guests is a Mumsnetter!

Loads of rain but I can vouch for the deliciousity of the lamb. Was great.
Starting to get an early hangover now.

Lamb was lovely thanks Maureen and your DH. Just enough left over for a very nice sandwich for me for lunch with some greek salad.. yum. Even more enjoyable as the kids are with their Auntie all day today. Next time could you also organise better weather for us .
