on my own this weekend and not feeling great, stopped in M&S yesterday and picked up 2 ready meals (vacuum sealed). When I got home I collapsed in bed sick and didn’t put them in the fridge. So they’re out at room temperature for over 12 hours. I’m guessing I need to bin these? Not feeling up to cooking anything, but don’t want to make myself any sicker by chancing them.
Thanks

I would risk it with only 12 hours. Cook until piping hot

Thanks, I am tempted to!

Depends what they contain. If it’s poultry or pork I wouldn’t risk it, if it’s vegetarian or beef based you’ll be fine just make sure it’s piping hot when you reheat.
Also be wary if it contains rice.

I wouldn’t eat them if they are rice based. But apart from that make sure they’re piping hot and they’ll be fine.

Thanks, they contain pasta and tomato sauce. One in vegetarian and one contains chicken. Was thinking of binning the chicken and eating.

If the chicken is already pre cooked then I wouldn't bin it.

I would warm it up and see what it smells like. Also the chicken would have been precooked not raw so should be ok

Ok thanks all you have put my mind at rest. I’ll chance one. I’ll report back in a couple of days if I get sickGrin

Definitely eat, 12, vacuum packed, both, will be fine, cook well until piping hot as others have said.
What a waste if you bin one or both, they'll be fine, then if you haven't got an appetite freeze one.
