This cannot be right?!

I am cooking chicken and leek bake tonight for tea. I found a Schwartz packet mix in the back of my cupboard that's what gave me the idea! I casually read the nutritional value and it says that per serving (1/4), contains 1.80g salt.... so that means the whole packet contains 7.20g?! I've thrown it away and I will just make my own roux and cheese sauce! I can't justify these packet mixes containing that much salt! Far too much.
