Help! DP and high cholesterol

My DP has been told that his cholesterol is dangerously high and he needs to sort it out. I am currently trying to meal plan for the next week and really struggling.

The main problem is that he is a monstrously fussy eater. He eats no (seriously, none) fruit or veg. He also doesn't eat pulses.

So far, I have come up with tomato based chicken curry and baked potatoes with baked beans (for some reason baked beans are the exception to the pulses thing).

Any ideas? He is the only fussy member of the household, the three children are ace!

Will he eat oily fish? Salmon, mackerel, sardines etc.

Other things recommended to me:

  • Nuts (obviously not roasted and salted)

-whole grains - would he eat brown rice with a curry?
  • Oats (porridge or museli for breakfast?)

If he won't eat any of the recommended foods (and if it's dangerously high and diet related then he should probably just sick it up and eat stuff he dislikes) then perhaps look into products (yoghurts etc) with added sterols?
