Using coloured icing

Hello,

Does anyone have any tips for rolling out coloured fondant that avoids it sticking? I’ve used icing sugar in the past but colour goes all drab.

I’ve googled and it suggests using vodka once rolled out to take sugar off. Anyone done this before? Does it work?

Thanks - so you just decorate and then wipe it? Would other spirits work? Like gin?
