Creamy sauce for pasta

Does anyone have an easy creamy sauce to use with pasta etc? I tried one from some cookery website the other day but it was a real faff and had to be attended to constantly, which was a pain when I'm doing chicken for some and prawns for others!

Cream cheese & a bit of milk always works for me.

I usually just stir creme fraiche into some cooked tomatoes or-and pancetta. Take off the heat, dollop the creme fraiche, then stir through the pasta back on the hob.

For carbonara sauce I whisk an egg yolk into the creme fraiche and that comes out lovely.

They do sound easy, thanks! I've always just made tomato sauces for pasta and fancied a change but didn't know where to start!
