My LO is 10months old and has sort of ended up on a rotation of omelette, sandwiches and what we had for tea the night before. That doesn't always keep well either.
He has crumpets/scrambled egg/weetabix for breakfast, but i really need something (like a sandwich) i can knock up quickly at lunch and dinner because i cant cook when he is awake, its just too stressful!

Any combinations that you put together? Just boil up some pasta and throw stuff in?
Also, can he have tuna yet? And pesto?

Any kind of pasta is good, I used to use macaroni just because its smaller.

Microwave a small sweet potato, scoop out the middle and mash

I always used to add a handful of frozen mixed veg to pre-made meals that Id warmed up. Its always far too hot to eat so the frozen peas (or whatever) cool it down, and cook at the same time.

Tuna and pesto both fine as far as I know.

I completely understand about not cooking when he's awake.

I use fresh pasta (so it only takes 3 mins). I've also bought a steamer for veg which can be put on at any time (as can a slow cooker)

But honestly we either both go out out for lunch or I give one of the Ella's type pouches with a bread stick.

Pesto pasta, tuna and mashed potato, eggy bread, the cod from inside a fishfinger with mashed potato - they’re pretty much what I give DD when I’m in a rush or between food shops

Yes Pesto and Tuna are both absolutely fine. Oily fish is recommended upto 3 times a week for boys and upto twice for girls.

DD particularly loved eggy bread, ham sandwiches, fish fingers with raw veg and a “bits” lunch which mainly consisted of a little bit of whatever we had in. Savoury muffins are good if yiu are finding cooking stressful as they freeze.

Tinned fruit, banana, cheese cubes, sausages, cold meat, peas and sweet corn to pick up with fingers...

My dc loved a bit of fish at that age.
Plaice fillet with a bit of butter and a splash of orange juice, microwaved for a few mins, and then mushed up with some cooked carrot.

Mine all had a plateful of bits for lunch as toddlers. Cubes of cheese, chopped veggies and fruit, a spoonful of leftover pasta, a leftover slice of the roast. Just what I had lurking in the fridge really.

Just give what you're eating for dinner. Freeze an extra portion then you've got a stash if you need it.

Lunches for us are pasta, sandwiches, cheese or beans on toast, omelette with loads of veg in

My best quickie at that age was mashed avocado either on its own/on toast/folded over one slice of bread as a sandwich.

Tuna and pesto are both fine, but both contain salt, as does pasta, bread, cheese, etc. Even with very little processed food, I still found it hard to keep salt below the maximum 1g before they turn one. Just something to keep an eye on really as it can do damage at that age.

Batch cooking is your friend. I used the tiniest Tupperware from Ikea (come in a set, but my mum gave me hers too) and froze small portions of cottage pie, fish pie, spag bol, pasta with sauces, risotto. Freezer microwave to baby gob in 3 minutes, including time to cool. Nuby make nice “take n toss” containers which are bigger and we treated them as re-usable.

I'm the same as you OP, no inspiration. But I do have a go to of toast with phadelphia on it topped with mashed avocado. I do it for me too but put a poached egg on mine!

cheese and ham pinwheel wraps.can also be frozen.
if you make omeltee in muffin tin they can be frozen and bought outas and when
mash pototo mixed with tuna or salmon and peas.
tip for when your cooking your potoatos or pasta stick in some green beans brocolie or peas, leeks to the water.less faff less pan washing
stir some frozen veg through pasta with little cheese cubes.
quick cheese on toast is jus tto stick cheese on bread I nthe microwave.
cheesy beans on jacket.
fish fingers.
little veggie crumbles
there are some great books on mug meal which have come really handy for when its just me and little one.they don't always have to be in a mug but are so helpful for whe you want smaller meals.
