Flapjack recipe

What is your favourite flapjack recipe? I like a buttery, not too sweet taste. Thanks ☺

125g butter
100g light brown sugar
5tbsp golden syrup
250g oats
1 Apple peeled & grated

Heat butter, golden syrup & sugar in a saucepan till smooth. Stir in oats & Apple.
Press into a grease proof lined tin approx 20 x 15 cm.
Cook gas 6 for approx 15 mins till a nice golden colour.
Allow to cool completely in tin.
Makes 12.
Will keep for a week in an airtight container.

12oz porridge oats
6oz free from sunflower spread
7.5 oz brown sugar
1/2 tbsp golden syrup

Heat marg, syrup and sugar until melted
Stir in oats
put in very well greased tin
cook on 160 for about 20 minutes
Cut into squares then leave to cool before removing.

125g Butter
125g Brown/Demerara sugar
3 tablespoons golden syrup
100ml whole milk
250g oats

Heat butter, sugar and golden syrup in a pan until melted and the sugar has dissolved. Whisk in the milk until incorporated. Pour in the oats and stir until combined. At this point you can add any extras - fresh blueberries, dried fruit, nuts or seeds etc.

Press into a buttered tin and bake at 190 for 20 mins or until lightly golden on top and at edges. This makes a deliciously soft flapjack. If you like crunchier just bake for longer.

I'm a bit slap-dash, but if I am making flapjacks, whatever the recipe, I put some halved glace cherries in, and replace some of the sugar with black cherry jam (or those cherries in syrup). Cherry flapjacks are the best flapjacks.

I made a flapjack recipe combining Shanarra's vegan recipe and Archery Annie's cherry's and my own touch - more golden syrup and a tsp of sea salt and they were very good.
