Now what for main? No wine in it please as 1 guest is allergic..

With those 2 quite soft courses, I would try and get something with a bit of crunch.
I hate to go for the cliche, but steak and chips with salad and possible a green peppercorn sauce on the side?

beef tournedos...very retro, and delish! Recipe here just leave out the madeira and use mushroom stock to boost the beef jus.

lovely lasagne with garlic bread and salad or broccoli
or chicken/beef stew with dumplings.
garlic butter chicken thighs dauphinois potatos and carrots beans and broccoli.
lamb chops with creamy butterbeans and roasted cherry tomatos.
all 4 done successfully with your exact starter and pud :)

Pea purée- chopped shallot and garlic, sautée in butter, add peas and stock, salt pepper and a pinch of sugar, once all is soft, blitz.
