Nigella's cornbread topped chilli - can I use polenta?

Just that really. I can't get hold of cornmeal, but have polenta (not the ready made-up stuff). Can I just use that? It's ground corn...

I’ve made that recipe - it’s lovely.

I’m not 100% sure but tbh given, as you say it’s ground corn I can’t see why it wouldn’t work.

I’d certainly give it a whirl.

I'm sure in another book she says polenta and cornmeal are basically interchangeable.

Thanks. I've just checked and it's labelled 'express polenta'. Takes 8 minutes to make as normal polenta. Hmm, now not sure if that is going to work?

Where do you good people get cornmeal?

The World Foods aisle of the supermarket - in Tesco this is the one I get www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/255575078 but there is also this one www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/afro-caribbean/dunns-river-fine-cornmeal-500g
