I've just put some creme fraiche in soup I've made for my friends for lunch. It was 4 days out of date but.. but.. it looked fine, it smelt fine and it tasted fine - will I poison my friends with it!!?

I agree - it never goes off it seems. Have used some that was weeks out of date (organic Yeo Valley). It even last when its been opened.

It does go off eventually, after being open for weeks, but when there is mould on the top the bit underneath always tastes fine (a bit like cheese).
