Anyone bought this yet? I've been googling trying to find a list of the recipes to see if it's worth me buying it but can't find one. Not vegetarian but loved the first three books, thought book number four was pretty average so no sure at all about book number 5...

Mine arrived last week, haven't made anything so far. I am veggie so some of it is very obvious to me (how to do veggie versions of meat dishes) but there's a few I'm looking forward to trying. And since they're dieter ones I'm hoping it'll keep me off cheese/help a bit of weight come off.

Me! I've got it!

We had pea and paneer curry last night accompanied by sweet potato saag aloo aloo

There are only perhaps 2 recipes that use meat substitutes like quorn. The rest are proper vegggie recipes iykwim although a lot of them do recreate meat dishes using veg

I'm surprised you said you didn't like the 4th book. Was that the fast food one? I use that all the time.

Oooh I'm interested in this. Haven't bought it but going to put it down on reserve at the library.

Ahh it's not available yet at my library (in Oz).

And the Amazon paperback price is half the kindle edition price!

Someone report back please and tell me whether it's worth pursuing a copy Smile

Yes the fast one - I have, to be fair, made quite a few of the recipes but there's none I've rushed to make again - apart from the masala omelette. Also don't have a pressure cooker so missed all those recipes out.

It's all relative though- it's more that the first three have been thoroughly bartered and used whereas I felt I was making more of an effort to make that one earn its keep.

Thanks for the feedback so far! I think I'll take the plunge as Amazon are selling it for a fiver and I like the idea of cooking more vegetarian food.

How vegan friendly is it? I also happen to be dairy free so if it relies on cheese all the time it won't work for me. Eggs are obviously fine as not actually vegan ..

Very little cheese so you should be ok

In the Fast Food one I'd HIGHLY recommend the Szechuan Chicken Stir Fry. Oh god it's good.
Chilli prawn pasta
Ham and pea fritters
Spicy Sweetcorn fritters (SO good!)
Bang Bang Chicken salad (make double the sauce)
Wild Mushroom soup
Spicy Sweetcorn soup (spicy bacon on top...mmmm!)
Corn Beef Hash (very reguar weekend breakfast here!)
Menemen (Turkish Eggs)
Pot Roast Beef
Turkey Keema Peas (really REALLY good!)
Fish Curry: zingy, fresh, spicy, delicious
Plus the Pork Medallions in BBQ Sauce
Honestly they are all winners!

Would anybody be willing to check how many recipes rely on tinned tomatoes? Too many veggie books shove them in too many recipes (I'm looking at you, Fresh India), and I just can't/won't eat them.
