Trying to decide for tomorrow!
We love rice pudding, steamed sponges, Victoria sponge and custard, egg tart, lemon layer pud, treacle tart and a good old chocolate concrete!
Trifle is just for Xmas.

Can I have some new inspiration?

A crumble is my default. A banoffi pie is always appreciated?

I like a Lemon Meringue Pie

But regularly run the gamut of traditional afters....crumbles, tarts, pies, maybe a pavlova or a trifle, even a cheesecake

I keep meaning to make a Queen of Puddings

Apple and blackberry crumble
Rhubarb pie

I don't know what it's called or if it has a real name but we call it apple pudding.

Slice three or four big bramleys, sprinkle of lemon juice and a bit of sugar (not too much). Victoria sponge mix (two eggs worth) but you replace half the flour with ground almonds.

Can't remember where I got the recipe but it's delish.

The other favourite is fresh strawberries, good vanilla icecream and flake.

I do an eve's pudding with tinned (in natural juice) apricots. Drain most of the juice off first. Delish!

Plum crumble in our house, with lots of ground almond in the crumble. But my pudding repertoire isn't that extensive.

Thank you

Pear and almond pudding. Peel and slice pears, lay them in buttered pudding dish, cream 150gms butter with 150gms sugar, beat in 3 large eggs and a few drops of vanilla extract then fold in 150gms ground almonds. Spread over pears. Bake in oven at 170C for 1 hour. Leave to stand 30 minutes before serving (so warm but not boiling). My sons favourite.

Pineapple upside down cake is a regular winner here.

OhTheRoses Sun 26-Feb-17 19:08:46

Ooh that's one I'd forgotten. My gran used to make it and put glace cherries in the pineapple holes. Yum.
