Figs - are there any recipes I can use them in? Also, how many dried/fresh figs can I eat a day without rushing to the loo?

After enjoying fresh figs in a restaurant the other evening, I have vowed to include them in my diet due to their nutritional content and fibre.. Does anybody have some fresh fig recipes please?

Also, I have just bought some dried figs for my lunch box, but obviously don't want to be rushing to the loo half way to/from work. How many could I reasonably eat a day without getting caught short?
Sorry for the two pronged question, by the way, any advice is appreciated.

No idea part 2 of your question but I often make a fig, Brie and prosciutto flat bread drizzled with honey and scattered with rocket and pine nuts, it looks really pretty and goes down a storm.

Can't help with part 2 either but we often have fresh figs. I cut them in quarters, drizzle with honey and rose water then bake for 20 minutes, serve with marscapone.
