They're from a tree in our garden, so a bit too sour to eat raw. NOt a massive fan of crumble but will probably make one... what else??

you can freeze whole apples, but why not peel and core them first, then freeze? They wont be the same as eating fresh, but can be used for pies etc throughout the year.

Stew them and freeze them flat in plastic bags. Good at breakfast time, and if you have a stash, you can do apple meringue as a quick pudding.

Agree with Maslinpan, but just stew them for a bit, as they will be softer than usual once defrosted.

Apple jelly! Like apple jam but clear. Lush with roast pork/on toast.

What about what we call apple breakfast? It's a version of bircher muesli.

Grate however many apples you've got, mix up in a tupperware with about the same quantity of oats, enough natural yogurt to make it mixable, a handful of sultanas, loads of cinnamon and enough honey to take the sourness of the apples you've got. Leave in the fridge overnight to let it all go smooshy.
