Walnut whip recipe - cake/cheesecake - anything really!

It's my friends birthday soon, and her absolute favourite sweet treat is walnut whips.
So I would like to make her something involving them, but I haven't really found anything suitable so far.

Just wondering if anyone has a tried and tested recipe for a delicious concoction using walnut whips.
If so, could you please let me know.
I don't want to make the whips themselves, but want to use them in a cake or cheesecake or pudding type thing.

Many thanks.

Mmm marking place.

Marshmallow fluff tastes like the inside of a walnut whip. What about a chocolate biscuit Base, marshmallow fluff and drizzled chocolate on top with walnuts.

I'm not sure if you could mix marshmallow fluff with double cream and cream cheese to make cheesecake but you could try!

A cake studded with walnut whips.

Or how about a croque en bouche but using walnut whips instead of profiteroles.

Or do the Scottish default, dip it in batter and deep fry.

Nothing tried and tested I'm afraid but If you want to use walnut whips themselves then I think it would work best as topping for a celebration cake like this Mary Berry walnut sponge

You could even cover with italian meringe rather than buttercream as more of a homage to the walnut whip.
