Does anyone have any packed lunch ideas that do not contain bread?
So far I have soup, salad and pasta.
Any other ideas? Thanks!

Do you have access to a microwave? I usually have leftovers of whatever was for tea the night before.

Frittata is nice too.

Cheese and crackers and fruit?

Why no bread - is it to avoid wheat and gluten? Or would rolls or wraps be OK, if it's just to get variety?

Hard boiled egg, tin of sardines, cheese triangles or peanut butter in celery sticks, rice salad.

What do you mean by "salad"?

Pinterest "bento boxes" for lots of great ideas.

Boiled eggs, potato salad, rice salad, cold chicken drumsticks.
Is it anti wheat or bread? Homemade savoury muffins.

op here It's for my children, they have toast for breakfast so I want to change from their usual sandwich for lunch, the toddler eats at home but the oldest takes a packed lunch ( and is fussy)

Could you switch to cereal for breakfast so they can still have bread at lunch

Falafel
Veggie pancakes (just add sweetcorn, whatever you've got)
Pork pies (the mini ones)
Rice with omelette and peas

Cooked cold vegesausages (like Linda McCartney)
Scotch eggs
Sausage rolls
Mini pasties
...all quite beige, but obviously you can send the usual fruit, crudites, yoghurt etc. on the side.

Rice, noodles, homemade fishcakes, potato salad, a sandwich that uses lettuce leaves instead of bread, spring rolls, samosas, crackers and cheese, cheese straws with dip, savoury scones or muffins, individual toad-in-the-holes (which you could fill with anything, not just sausages).

Noodles? I had some the other day for lunch as I had some left-overs from my noodle stir-fry the night before.

I have chickpeas as the base for my packed lunch salads quite a lot. I don't know if chickpeas are a bit of a chokey shape for really little dc though?

Samosa/spring roll

People are funny about rice but I've never died eating it room temp the next day... I lived in China for years and that's the last of the food practices I'd be worried about

I'm messing around with samosas at the moment. Mashed potatoes, peas, carrot, onion and spice to taste. Cook in ready-made filo / spring roll pastry.

Mine are a funny shape...
