Ideas for intimate pre - Christmas supper.

We'll be hosting a small dinner party for four people, probably on the 22nd or 23rd December.

Absolutely no food restrictions, planning 3 courses, but don't want to do turkey really as will eat on Christmas day.

Any ideas? Maybe something that can easily prepped in advance as DS will be bouncing about during the day, he will be in bed when we eat though.

Pate and roulade I could definitely make ahead. Port I already have in due to feeding the Christmas cake, and here cheese is a given as DH is French.

Nom. Lamb is actually my favourite roast too.
