I've just very stupidly dumped my stick blender that I use for soup in the washing up - plug and all. I whisked it out as soon as I realised, and gave it a good shake and dry to try to get as much of the water out of the plug (without taking it to bits - I confess, I'm the world's least practical person!), and it's now sitting in the airing cupboard to hopefully dry out as quickly as possible. But I'm a bit paranoid about water and electricity - might I electrocute myself when I next use it and switch it on?
