Smoked garlic

I bought some yesterday and it smells amazing, but I peeled a clove to use in cooking and it tastes exactly the same as unsmoked.

Is there anything I can do to put that smoked aroma in a dish?

Depends on what kind of dish I guess, but we love using smoked paprika powder for eg sausage casserole, chipotle sauce for eg chilli/Mexican/coleslaw or, if you can find it anywhere (I never can hmm), smoked mozzarella is absolutely delicious!

I'll look out for smoked mozzarella, that sounds amazing!

I'll use up the garlic, but it's such a shame that wonderful smell is basically going to be no more than an air freshener!
