My DD aged 2 is a good eater on the whole however since she was tiny I can't get her to eat potato in any form! As they are extremely useful and rest of the family like them I wondered if anyone has any great kid friendly ideas for potatoes ?

Nobody needs to tell me to give her other carbs instead as I obviously do this...

DD didn't like potatoes at that age either. I think it was a texture thing. She is 14 now and loves them now.

Croquettes with cheese? Mashed potato with lots of cheese for flavour, rolled in breadcrumbs & baked.

have you tried new potatoes? they have a much firmer texture. mine won't even have mash on her plate...

I bet she'd love chips!!

You have my sympathy - I have a 14 year old who will now eat chips but only if they are thin (ie. like McD's) and of course he would kill for crisps but in any other form, still nope sad

His brother will eat them any way, Boiled, New, home made wedges, roast, mashed, you name it. he'll eat it. I have no idea what the answer is.

The only potatoes my son will eat is crisp! Doesn't matter if it's mash, chips, new, roasted with or without cheese or ketchup it's a no go!

Slice potatoes and fry in a little oil. I add paprika and onions but you can season as you please. These go lovely with steak btw!

2 yo ds does not eat potato, unless they're chips.

Will eat sweet potato confused but mash, jackets, roasted spuds, sautéed, wedges, forget it. Was even sniffy at gnocchi. But will eat chips. Go figure.

I just keeping dishing his portion up in the hope that one day he will realise it's nice!

New potatoes sliced to about half cm slices. Put on a tray and spray with spray oil. Bake at 200 deg for about 20 mins. My kids love them: I call them "round chips".

Thanks for the ideas, croquettes I haven't tried yet. I can confirm she will not eat chips...random kid! I am determined to get potato in her!! I am lucky that she ears rice, couscous, pasta but potatoes are so useful!

my 8 year old ds still hates potatoes whereas dd (11) loves them. He will eat skinny fries and crisps but doesn't like anything else. He managed to eat 1 baby potato on Xmas day but didn't like it.
