I've bought a small one(1.3kg) for tomorrow's dinner. Can I cook in the slow cooker? How would you do it and how long would it take? Only have low/high/warm settings.

TIA

I've done it loads of times. Cooked for 8 hours on low. One time I cooked it in cider, which gave it a really lovely flavour. You can use apple juice or just some stock. Or smother it in maple syrup.

You can shred it with two forks it's so soft.

Yes, I'd do it for eight hours on low. I just cover it with water & leave it.

Pour a can of coke over it, 8 hrs on low. Check out the FB group 'slow cooked wonders' for loads of slow cooker ideas and recipes
