Can I make a roux for a cheese sauce using anchor spreadable instead of butter?

drat, forgot to buy butter and only have a sliver left.

really don't want to go out again.

I never have real butter and I make a roux no problem

go for it, will be fine

All the ingredients in cold at the beginning (except the cheese) works the best.

water level is fine right now

we don't seem to have much bother even though we are 20 foot away from the sea

our local harbour has been flooded right into businesses though a coulpe of times
