Greengages

Also recieved a bag of Greengages in my fruit bag today. Never had them before. No idea what they taste like or how you eat them - raw? with something? What do they taste like? Are they nice?

they are like plums - you eat them raw (and you can do with them whatever you would do with plums really)

often used to make jams - you can also stew them

they are yummy when they are ripe

I love these, will have to have a trip to the market!
I just eat them raw they are quite sweet

I tried one int he end and yes, a bot like plums. Need to ripen a bit more though.
