I just picked up a packet of these in Lidl (frozen).

They have the reheating instructions on the packet - I just wondered what to serve them with?

Any good suggestions?

In my head I have them down as a gnocchi type item and would serve with a tomatoey sauce?

Only ever seen them served in a chicken soup or beef stew but I suppose they are just giant gnocci and would be fine in a tomato sauce?

I tried them once. They were stodge central. I hope yours are better than mine were.

Google should throw up some ideas about how to serve them.

Yes they feel pretty weighty :)

Will check out recipe sites.

Cheers for replies.

Update,

They were rank.

I ate a couple - they were tasty, but the texture made me gag.

DH cut into one and didn't even taste it. DS poked them around on his plate and left them.

Maybe home made ones would be nicer - but these just turned to a kind of gelatinous pototoey mush.

Live and learn eh!

You need to serve them beside roast pork, with lots of gravy, or with a rich beef stew or something, not as the main part of the meal. They are meant to be gelatinous - I hated them at first but have come round to them now. My DH and DC can't get enough of them (have never bought frozen ones though.)

Yours sound nicer.

I think the very act of freezing them made them a bit mushier than necessary

I did like the taste though.

My Polish friend served them with mince wrapped in cabbage leaf - it was amazing - but they were home cooked.
