DH is cooking lunch <Arf>

DH decided this morning to cook today's lunch. He decided what he was cooking (not the lamb casserole I had planned). Now he is complaining that we don't have all the ingredients that I didn't know he would want (I do the shopping). He has gone out to buy a last minute cabbage, some fennel and some extra peas. In the meantime he has put something in the oven without switching it on. The kitchen looks as though it has been bombed.

Grin Ahahaha! Bless him. My DP is exactly the same. If you comment or make any useful suggestions (such as switching the oven on), then he goes instantly bonkers with stress at me too.

Quick, make yourself a sandwich while he is out!

He is back minus the fennel. There is swearing in the kitchen :) Congrats on new baby and kitchen-competent DH, MrsEdd!

How did it turn out? What did you have?

It turned out well :)

We had this

I am still puzzled as to what he wanted fennel for, but I guess I am not going to find out until the next time he ventures into the kitchen

There was a lot of washing up though, and we have a golden rule that the cook never washes up ...

Ooh that does look nice, bet it was worth all the washing up Wink
Saying that dh is always telling me off for using all the saucepans and not cleaning up as I go along!
