Storing the Turkey - cover it???

A farmer and butcher friend (of my parents) slaughtered and gave us our turkey yesterday evening. Thankfully plucked etc.

I had a 2 hour drive home. He wrapped the turkey in a plastic bag for me and suggested I travel home with it in the boot (which I did). He said to take the turkey out of the bag and put it in the fridge asap when I got home.

Did all that and its now sat on an enamel meat plate on the bottom shelf of my fridge (only just fits).

My worry is - do I need to cover it? Will it be OK uncovered. If I should be covering it what would you suggest?? foil? A carried bag - my clear freezer bags are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too small.

I intend to stuff it and dress it with bacon etc tomorrow night all trussed up in its baking tray wrapped in a foil "tent" so all I have to do is whack it in the oven early Xmas day.

I would cover with foil, then do as you planned.
