What to serve for dinner?

We've got friends coming round for dinner on Saturday, they'll be bringing their 11 month old twins with them so it won't exactly be a formal dinner (We've been to theirs and had risotto). The only stipulation is no brocolli or brussel sprouts (from the men).

I'm mulling over a few recipes and can't decide, which would you prefer?

Beef Stew

Fish Pie

Slightly different beef stew - red wine, mushrooms, beef, bacon with jacket potatos

Fish lasagne

Open to suggestions please Xmas Smile

Stew in this weather sounds fab! Lots of yummy mash to soak up the sauce!

I'm assuming the 11 month olds are eating too, so I would say fish pie as easiest for everyone.

The babies will probably bring their own picnic - I must double check actually.

DH won't eat meatballs unfortunately YD he's quite fussy.

I did a trial run of the beef stew recipe last night so DH will get it tonight and decide if it's good enough.
