DS has had a temp of 39-40 all weekend and bang in the midst of me preparing dinner got really bad ear-ache so we had to rush him off to the Drs. Gas turned off, oven turned off, food wasted.
Salvaged ... batter for toad in the hole - now in the fridge. Is it usable tomorrow night? Also, onion gravy - presume this will be okay. And finally, I'd had chicken stock simmering for an hr by then so just turned it off and continued boiling it when I came back.
Can anyone tell me whether these things will be okay - I think so but would like someone else to agree with me!
DS, by the way, is now on antibiotics for ear infection/swollen glands etc which will serve dual purpose of clearing up his conjunctivitis, temp's down a bit and he's in better form - poor soul!
