I thought I'd boil it and finish in the oven with some marmalade or black treacle to glaze.
What to serve with it for an easy lunch for 6 people?
Jacket potatoes? Focaccia?
I haven't got any salad, due to bad planning, and nearest supermarket 10 miles away but will drive if you insist.

Love a naice ham thread.

Could do a nice homemade potato salad with mayo, grain mustard, little bit of oil and chopped spring onions?

Orrrr potatoes dauphinoise? Bit of a faff if there are six of you but they'll love you forever.

Well it's just a big joint from a good butcher rather than a plastic supermarket one.grin
Anyway I've made focaccia sprinkled with sun dried tomato, and a potato salad is a great idea as I do have some spring onions in the fridge and chives and parsley in the garden.
Thanks

Yes of course, can you be here in an hour? Up North.

Up North is great. Will be about half an hour smile.

Oh darn, missed it. Can you pop mine in the post?

Not much left, two teenage boys who will hoover up the leftovers later and four adults so 8 appetites really.
