I am STARVING all. The. Time.

I am currently existing on whole cartons of ben and jerry's, large bars of galaxy, crisps and toast

DD doesn't stop feeding long enough for me to make anything and although I am a hollow, husk of a shadow of my former (large) self I am only too aware that v soon my dramatic weight loss will stop and I'll start piling on the pounds

So inspire me, what is easy to prepare / grab, filling, nutritious and delicious?

Pasta pasta pasta.

Creamy chorizo pasta....yummy.

Use a full fat soft cheese to make any pasta sauce creamier and higher in calories to keep up your milk supply. And enjoy lots of food while you are still BFing.

Make loads of whatever you do make and freeze it. So its a quick meal some other night! :)

Malt loaf, with butter. I used to do a whole one in one sitting. Perhaps you could get someone else to butter slices and leave them in the fridge for you to grab a few before you sit down to feed.

Make sure you're drinking enough. BF dehydrates you quite quickly and thirst feels exactly like hunger.

DS is 3 weeks old and putting on at least a pound a week atm. He feeds vociferously. DH bakes every other day and makes things like oatmeal cookies/flapjacks etc. He also whizzes up smoothies and makes soup/sandwiches in an evening and leaves it all in the fridge for the next day. It means I've got snacky stuff, sandwiches and easy to heat one handed stuff for lunch. I've also got lots of fruit (including dried fruit), cheese sticks and hard boiled eggs for protein, nuts to snack on and crackers with cheese in easy reach.

And a huge bottle of water in every room. I take a swig from it every few minutes and this helps enormously.

How old is your baby baboon? Sounds like she enjoys the boobie! One of the best tips I had was to eat your main meal at lunchtime. Helps to keep you going through the avo and means you don't have to cook a big meal in the evening when you're knackered and your baby is cluster feeding so you are stuck to the sofa!

I treated myself to yummy, quick ready meals, (eg Tescos Finest lamb Shank as opposed to minging frozen meals). Not sustainable in the long term if you're on a budget, but serves a purpose in the short term until that manic feeding fest is waining.

What about cereal with semi skimmed as a snack? Maybe muesli or Crunch Nut? I was going to say flap jacks too, used to keep them by the bed for those midnight munchies!

I would advise eating healthy stuff before you get so hungry that you lose all will power! (happens to all fo us!)

I found lemon barley water really good. I really craved it when I was bf and then found out that apparently it has something in it that can be helpful (I'm no scientist though!)

agree breakfast cereal is good and sandwiches and pasta

I have second breakfast, second lunch and second dinner. And then snacks by the bed. I am winning some kind of competition I'm sure in terms of calories consumed. AND I'm losing weight.

It's fab isn't it showy. I'm smaller now than I was before I got pregnant. Thing is I know from bitter experience that as soon as this early feeding frenzy ends I'll pile on the weight and endbup bigger than ever

Same happened with DS, I got all excited and bought size 12 jeans, wore them until he was 3 mnths old and was soon back in my size 16s
