Tropical Mincemeat

I've just come across a recipe for tropical mincemeat which I thought looked interesting and a bit different so am thinking of whipping up a test batch before making it for gifts, etc. However, what is "creamed coconut"? One version of the recipe says "coconut cream, grated" and the other says "creamed coconut, grated." Otherwise the recipes are the same.

Thanks!

I can only assume it's the 'block' called creamed coconut that you literally grate into the dish. It comes in a cardboard carton, still with the Chinese stuff in the supermarkets. Use what you need, the rest of the block will keep in the fridge for a month.

Thanks hwhite! I didn't think it was those coconut creamed sweets but that was the only thing I could think of!

First recipe and second recipe. There's not much variation between the two but they do sound nice.
