You could put it in baked potatoes - I have seen this on menus in cafes.

Would it work in Vol au Vents (sp?)

Eat it with a spoon like ice cream, I love egg Mayo.

You buy it? Urgh, the shop bought one is disgusting! If it was homemade I would say yes, eat it with a spoon

Egg mayo on potatoes? Really? I have some 'nice ham' too, I could do that I suppose.

Do you think you can cook it? (zanz - I am ignoring you, you are either pregnant or sick Wink !)

Cook it? Nah.

Have it with salad, and some of your ham?

I love shopbought egg Mayo. My homemade always tastes wrong. Must be missing a vital e binder or summat. Grin

I would dollop it in a plate with some salad, or jacket spud with lots Of black pepper on top. I wouldn't cook it.

Oh yes, back to the original question I think egg salad is the way to go if you don't want to go at it with a spoon

Well if you wanted to be flash you could dollop some on to slices of ham and then roll the ham up....little homemade hors d'oeuvres.

That should silence the egg mayo snobs Grin

Oh I likey!

Mrs Rhett, you are close to getting an invite round, I like to make 'homemade' curry (by 'made' I mean manufactured and by 'home' I mean a factory in Warrington) and then litter the kitchen with chilli shreds and chopped coriander. All my friends think I am a curry queen! Many, many of them sit at my table bauking at the thought of shop bought Grin !

Posh hors d'oeuvres are winning...!

It is one of my secret vices, sofa, tv, eating egg Mayo(homemade=bigger portions).
Top tip, use a spring onion instead of spoon.

I've just made some egg mayo and had a sandwich mmmmmm yummy

Grin @ 'homemade' curry! You should admit it to your friends for the pure pleasure of seeing their faces!

Yep, go with the jacket potato or the salad idea. Salad-style it would be reminiscent of those 'egg mayonnaise' starters from the 70s/80s. Almost vintage, really.

zanz1bar the spring onion spoon is genius!

MrsRhett I shall when I am 90 and wearing purple. I like the pretence for now. I also enjoy 'roughing up' shop bought cakes for school fairs!

I have decided to lay a bed of lettuce, surround by cucumber (forked down the side for effect), spread the egg in the middle, add a small cherry tomato border and sprinkle with paprika and parsley. Serve with new pots and ham.

Little linens are getting some retro tomorrow! I may even whip up some angel delight!
