Dabs had bitter taste - am I going to be ill?

Cooked and ate dabs tonight - they were gutted and cleaned but had the heads on. They had quite a bitter taste - but I still ate them, for some stupid reason. What could have caused it, and I am going to regret it later?

I'm assuming dabs are fish? If they are, a gall bladder probably wasn't removed properly. Tastes horrid but I think you should be fine.

Yes they are - and thanks! Felt sick last night (probably the thought!) but OK this morning. I think you're right about the gall bladder - bleeeuuurgghh.
It'll take a while for me to be able to eat them again which is a shame as they're very cheap and sustainable!
