Ive finally moved my poor comets, Haagen and Jerry, from their half barrel (bad purchase on poor advice from man at local aquatic place) to a big, new pond :) 5' by 3', lots of plants, all-in-one pump, fountain, filter thingy, lots of space to dash about.
I left it to settle for a couple of weeks before they went in and they have two new friends too, 2 Shubunkins called Luca and Magnum :)

Just wanted to tell some fish people really, DH is distinctly unexcited Hmm

Hi mibby - glad you're happy and so are the fish. I too have a pond that came with the house so not my choice but must say been pleasantly surprised over the years with the pleasure you get with watching the fish. Best bit is when they all come to the surfact waiting excitedly when you stand there about to feed them! (yes i know i don't get out much) x

That's ace, glad they are happy in their new home! Have you read up on winter feeding?

Wow that sounds lovely! I always think goldfish swimming in a pond look great. Especially when they get massive.

Have some wheatgerm food EauRouge but they're still eating 'normal' amounts and not leaving anything. Ive fed the two comets all winter before, they dont ever seem to stop :)

We love our pond, it was a matter of days before we had water boatman, newts and pond skaters. The fish love hiding under lily leaves but bask at the top when it is sunny. Have had hours of joy just watching the pond and my LO loves it too. Hope you get as much enjoyment from yours Smile
