Watching Love Actually whilst Wrapping presents, drinking baileys eating mince pies and the odd weep into a kleenex

We love The Polar Express - it's a warm family friendly movie with that Christmassy feel. Love the reindeer and elves and the train journey to the North Pole. We all love to sit on the sofa with a blanket and watch it together as a family.

Ahhh... the trailer for Charlie Brown brought back all kids of childhood memories.

Elf for me Grin

Oh, and why? Because Elf makes me cry with laughter.

"Santa?" "I KNOW HIM!!!!"

Elf is a classic - still funny after all these years!

A weirder one is Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet. I used to watch it on Christmas Eve to help me fall asleep...well, it is four hours long...

The Muppets Christmas Carol - somehow when Tiny Tim is a small puppet frog it gets me every time! Also loads of really funny lines from Gonzo and Rizzo the rat - DH and I still quote them at each other.

Home alone (All of them) - They just have that ability to get you in the festive mood ;)

Oh gosh, Home Alone is a real family favourite in our house - my son is a big fan of slapstick humour and has been hankering to watch it since the summer but I'm trying to save it for at least the 1st December when I can crack open the Baileys as well without feeling guilty in the slightest!

The Family Man - with Nicolas Cage, playing himself, as usual, but that's not always a bad thing. Wink

It's sentimental and schmaltzy and a wee bit predictable - in short, everything you want in a Christmas film!

Love Actually, for the polo-necks and Elf, for reasons that surely don't need elaborating! SANTAAAAAAAAAAA [santa]

Santa Claus: The Movie - the one with Dudley Moore. Always watched this as a kid with my sister and undoubtedly has the most cutest reindeer ever in it.

I just loved National Lampoon's Christmas vacation and recently watched it with the kids, 6 and 8 and they thought it was funny too :-)

Scrooged was the most loved Christmas film in our house as kids.

When they are discussing the problem of gluing antlers to the mouse ..."have you tried staples?"

Hahaha!

Can't wait for the Peanuts movie. I have a ds called Linus and I am hoping to finally get some merchandise with his name on!

The Muppet Christmas Carol! We rewatch it as a family every year and sing along with the songs. "There goes Mister Humbug, there goes Mister Grim..."

I'm a HUGE Snoopy fan, fingers crossed very tightly!
