I want to take my noisy 2yr 6 month old to movies for juniors at cineworld. He is very chatty and is into everything. What are these showings like, I'm concerned i'd have to walk out if he is being too noisy and excited or are there other children like that at them.

Also It says each adult must be accompanied by a child.. can both parents go with 1 child?

I'm not sure if there's a limit to how many adults, probably best checking the website or phoning the cinema to make sure.

The good thing is, as it's so cheap, if your DS won't sit for more than 10 mins then at least you haven't wasted too much money.

Unfortunately even though it's a kids screening, they still have all the adverts and trailers on before the main film which is a total pain. If you can be patient, wait for 20 mins or so after the time shown on your ticket so you go in just as the film starts.

It can be noisy with other children there chatting away but that's the whole point of it I suppose. Smile

I thought the idea of movies for juniors was that it's cheap so if your dc can't sit through it you've only lost a few quid rather than the king's ransom they normally charge.

Ds wasn't quite ready at that age but we took him when he'd just turned 3 and he loved it - sat beautifully, completely transfixed for most of the film and only got a bit fidgety towards the end. This is no mean feat for my ds who struggles to sit through a family meal. He even cried when we left because he didn't want to!

Yes, 2 parents can go with one child: if its a film you both want to watch!

Take him. If its a sucess, great. if its not, walk out, and try again in 6-12 months.

Also, look out for the booster seats stacked up outside the theatre (or at least they have these at our local) Great for boosting little people up so they can see without having to sit on your knee.

Hi all,

With the kind permission of the OP, we are going to sweep this over to Films shortly.

Thanks.
