Anyone seen this yet?

The trailer looked like shite, but reviews have been ecstatic.

DH and I are going to see on Tightarse Tuesday, so will report.

Well, it's a trip, all right.

Overall verdict; very good, though it didn't end quite when I thought it would, and was a bit annoying.

Lovely cinematography. The child actors are astonishing. And, yes, Bradley Pitt is very good.

I've been looking at this and might give it ago. The nearest showing to me is in the city which is an hour train ride away so I'll try to fit it in.

Awful, yes great cinematography, far too long. Saw at curzon (small art house cinema) 6 people walked out. Made it the end and thought 'what was that all about'...

So possibly one to wait for on dvd if still curious to see how pretty and bad it really is?

clangermum> I'd definitely suggest going to the cinema to see it if you still have the change, because 99% of that movie are its visuals! Even with Blu-ray you'd really miss out.

And I really loved it, actually! It doesn't really have a plot, but the meaning is screated by cinematography. It's not bad, just different.

that's an interesting point - will go with someone to discuss it with!
