Medical abortion and time off work

I had a medical abortion when I was 6 weeks pregnant around a month ago. I’m due to go back to work next week but feel like I’m still not 100% to go back. Emotionally I am drained and working at a school with challenging children.
I’m due to see the doctor this evening for an extension on my note but I’m unsure he will understand.
Just don’t know what to say to him!

I think it depends on your mental and physical health. I went back (a long long time ago) after 2 days and was fine. It is different for different people. Speak to your doctor.

If you need to be signed off for your mental health then speak to your doctor about that

I had a surgical one and went to work in the afternoon - physically you should be fine after just a few days at most, I would be requesting counselling in your case
