Can't feel my copper coil strings

Got coil in march and checked strings straight after for a few weeks. They were extremely short and very sharp but I felt them so was happy and forgot about it.

Had sex on my most fertile day which hasn't really happened since I got coil fitted. This makes me nervous as I track my period and anytime ive had unprotected sex around my fertile period, ive fell pregnant (2 kids plus miscarriages).

So I decided to reassure myself and check the strings and I can't feel them. Baring in mind I havnt checked for months, what are the chances that the strings and just too short and soft for me to feel?

My mirena coil strings went awol in the first few months. An ultrasound and xray showed it was still in place so they left it there for its 5 years. I then needed a general anaesthetic to get it removed after it expired in March (removed last Friday).

I would maybe see your gp so they can check for strings and they would maybe scan you to see if its still in place

Thanks I will do as I 100% do not want to be pregnant.

Im getting all the usual symptoms of copper coil (heavy longer periods) so im thinking it must still be in there.
