I bled like a normal period the first 4-5 days, and pretty light for the next 2 days.. the last 3 days I have stopped bleeding but I now have thrush symptoms - soreness, burning, itching, redness.. except it doesn't look like usual thrush (white creamy bits) as I've had that once before, I am getting grey/pink pieces of long stringy tissue (sorry TMI). Could this still be thrush? I have booked an appointment to see my GP but I have to wait till Tuesday Blush

Anyone had anything similar? I have bought some canesten to treat as thrush in the meantime but it's very strange, google is not much help on this one.

I would try to see someone before tuesday tbh, can you not get an emergency appointment?

Do you have a temperature at all? Any pain?

It could be infected tissue that hasn't been expelled properly. Were you given any aftercare leaflets or a number to call if you experienced any issues? I would try and get in contact with the clinic you went to, always better to get these things looked at early rather than risk a nasty infection.

I can't get a GP appointment before, I'm on pretty intense work training for 3 months and Tuesday is the only time I can get a late app.

Sounds pretty obvious but I didn't think of that Shock! Thanks Smile I did get an aftercare number too, It didn't even occur to me to call them.. Confused I think I'm going crazy!

No temperature or pain Humphreycobblers but I've felt quite tired the last couple of days which could possibly be the start of an infection Sad? I think

You're not going crazy at all, sometimes it's hard to think of the sensible thing to do. Speak to someone either them or 101 just for peace of mind. Hope everything is ok x

Please seek medical advice before Tues, OP.

Don't want to sound alarmist, but if it is an infection, then it can turn into septicaemia within a matter of hours. If you get any pain, or you feel cold, shivery, or your temperature rises, please go to A&E.

Thanks! I've been in work until now but managed to call the clinic in my lunch break and she said it's possibly thrush but I've had quite a lot of abdo pain this afternoon so going to go to the walk in centre and hope to get seen! Blush
