Pill that makes me less hormonal than Cerazette?

I've recently come off Cerazette as it was really impacting my mood, to a point I felt massive anxiety and depression every single month. The change back to "normal" has been amazing... the lack of contraception not so much.

I've had coils injections etc before and had different problems.... is there a pill that is less likely to turn me into an emotional wreck?
Thanks

I couldn't get on with Cerazette, I had constant bleeding and was thoroughly miserable and stressed. I can't take the combined pill due to ocular migraines but am on my third month of taking desogestrel. Mood was a bit iffy the first month but has settled and I've been fine since. Still getting lots of breakthrough bleeding though, so am going to try norgeston next.

Have you tried any other mini pills? From speaking to our nurse, it seems they start everyone on cerazette but there are a few others you can try if it doesn't work for you.

Thanks. Will make a note of them. Just feels I'm running out of options. I don't seem to get on with hormones at all and the copper coil was brutal for bleeding.

I've been reading about the vaginal ring but not sure whether the doctor would prescribe, and whether it would be any better

I feel the same with hormonal contraception. I want something that doesn't make me bleed all the time and doesn't put me off sex completely. The nurse has said I've got a few more types of mini pill I can try and if they all have the same effect then I will try the mirena coil. I don't want to try the copper coil as I went on the pill originally to try to control heavy periods and I've heard it can make them very heavy.

I have had to be quite persistent though about wanting to try a different pill.

I was a nightmare on mirena. Had it out after 3 months
