Its conception was a few moments of fun a while ago

The gestation has been uncomfortable with increasing nausea and losing the ability to see our feet.

At the end of Labour

comes Delivery - that strange mixture of pain and euphoria

and then we have many many years of our lives turned upside down by this incoherent being that makes no sense for the first few years

a decade or two down the line it becomes able to fend for itself

But you've missed out how you wouldn't have it any other way now because you love it soooo much!

And that love lasts for the rest of your life - so all the turmoil, tears and trauma was TOTALLY worth it Wink

Or the fact that you get amnesia about all the pain a year later and decide you want to go through it all again!

I had to have surgery a year after my dd was born because her birth had fucked up my body. Everyone kept saying it was fiiiiine when it wasn't. Let's hope it's not like that, eh.
