Is Amtico as green as the website suggests?

I am about to start an extension to create a kitchen diner with doors onto the garden. Underfloor heating isn’t an option due to low ceilings in the existing kitchen and my strict budget. I want porcelain tiles for easy cleaning and durability, but I’m worried they will be too cold.

I normally avoid plastic, but Amtico looks like a good compromise between warmth and durability. They have a great eco section on their website, no pthlates, low VOC etc and they claim to take back old floors for recycling. www.amtico.com/commercial/why-amtico/sustainability/

Is it greenwash? Would you ever consider it? I’m wondering if the warmer floor and U.K. production would reduce energy bills enough over the years to make up for the vinyl. Wood is too high maintenance for my messy family, so if Amtico is an eco nightmare we’ll have to just buy good slippers!
