New job and pregnant

I found out about a week after accepting a job offer that I'm pregnant. I start in January, by which time I'll be 12ish weeks pregnant.
I'm planning on telling them after the first scan as I have a history of losses. But could they retract the job offer? Or keep me for probation and then say it hasn't worked out?
I'm planning on working up until my due date and will be taking a maximum of three months maternity once baby is here. Obviously things may not go to plan but I am hoping that's how it can work out.
The job involves a lot of things I'm not allowed to do when pregnant/need a lot of help with as it involves lifting, and chemicals. I just feel like I've messed up so badly and this is my dream job so I'd hate to lose it/not even be able to start. Can anyone give any advice please?

Congratulations! Please try not to worry, although I know it’s hard not to, they can’t sack you for being pregnant. Really being on maternity leave is such a small amount of time in your overall career. Is this your first child? 3 months isn’t long to take for maternity leave so I would keep your options open if you can as you may find you want to talk longer once the baby is here.

^Yes and yes. Unlawful but then you will have to prove it and good luck with that.

Be aware that you won’t be eligible for SMP and you’re unlikely to be eligible for occupational pay.

They could get rid of you for other non-pregnancy reasons, yes.

Wouldn’t necessarily be unlawful.
